1. How long will I have to stay in the hospital?
Most of the patients admitted to the unit are discharged in 3-4 days.
2. How often will I see my doctor?
You will see your doctor at least once daily.
3. When can my family come to visit?
Your family may visit Monday through Friday from 6:00PM – 7:00PM and 1PM – 2PM and 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.
4. Is there a phone on the unit that I can use?
There is a phone available for patients to use during times when there are no scheduled activities. All local calls are free. Long distance calls can only be made with the use of a long distance calling card.

1. What are your hours of operation?
CBH office hours are 8:00am-4:30, Monday through Friday. After hours Emergency phone # is 800-723-3248.
2. How do I know if you accept my insurance?
CBH accepts most third party commercial insurances as well as Medicaid and Medicare However, when you call to schedule an appointment just give the person on the phone the information about your insurance and you will be told if we accept your insurance.
3. What if I don’t have any money to pay for services?
For people without a third party payer who cannot afford the full fee for services, if proof of income is provided you may be able to quality for a fee reduction. CBH will work out a payment plan for you also.
4. How often will I be seen?
The frequency of sessions will be determined by the treatment plan that you and your counselor develop to guide your care.
5. Can I get my medication at Center for Behavioral Health?
CBH has an onsite pharmacy service through Genoa Healthcare that can fill any prescription that you may have from any doctor. This is available on site Monday-Friday at the Winter Haven location.
6. How is my information kept confidential?
CBH cannot release any information about you to anyone without your permission, except under a court order. It is helpful to your treatment if you will allow us to speak to your family members and other treatment providers like your primary care physician.
