Admission Nurses

Admission nurses contribute to hospital flow & efficiency by assisting patient care units with numerous admissions each day. These highly experienced nurses possess superior assessment skills, enabling them to identify unique patient needs. For example, these nurses identify patients at high risk for falls and initiate the appropriate preventive and protective measures, greatly enhancing patient safety. They also initiate numerous screenings, based on the individual needs identified in each patient. For example, screens by physical therapy, nutrition, and/or social services not only help to proactively meet the complex needs of the patient, but also initiate and enhance discharge planning for every patient.
