Outpatient unit for pre- and post-operative care of patients. Also includes a pre-admission call center.

Endoscopy and major surgery product lines including general, neurosurgery, orthopedics, vascular, ENT, urology, podiatry surgery, and cardiovascular patients
Common skills utilized:
IV starts, surg & diagnostic preps, recover immediate post-ops & diagnostics, patient discharges
Most common meds / those nurses must be familiar with:
Anesthetic agents, antihypertensives, pain medications (narcotic and non-narcotic agents), antiemetic meds, antibiotics, emergency/code meds
Certification for Differential:
CAPA, through the American Board of Peri-Anesthesia Nurses
