The progressive world is necessarily divided into two classes, those who take the best of what there is and enjoy it, and those who wish for something better and try to create it!

Executive Team

At Winter Haven Hospital, nurses—who are knowledgeable about current clinical practice, committed to evidence-based standards, and steadfast about excellent patient outcomes—lead our team of nurse managers, staff nurses and other point-of-care providers. Unlike most nurse executives—who don business suits and brief cases—the nurse execs at WHH report each day in nursing uniforms. They provide clinical expertise and support in problematic clinical situations, i.e., accessing a difficult port (Jennifer), a difficult balloon pump patient (Mary Jo), caring for post-op heart patients in CVICU (Debi), assisting in the E.D. (Jenny), etc. They are “hands-on” and round on patient care units daily, accessible to staff, physicians, patients and families. Intensely, this team monitors clinical data, reviews staffing, facilitates prompt patient placement, and addresses the ongoing host of issues—head on—that are generated in today’s acute care environment. They are committed to the staff nurse and acutely aware of the ever-evolving issues, demands and needs at the point of care.

At Winter Haven Hospital, we are proud that CLINICAL NURSES LEAD CLINICAL NURSES. We are proud to introduce to you, the members of our Patient Service Executive Team:
