Eric T. Hartman, M.D., Medical Director of Joy-Fuller Rehabilitation Center
Dr. Eric Hartman is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. As a board certified physiatrist and Medical Director of Joy-Fuller Rehabilitation, Dr. Hartman develops and implements individualized treatment plans for patients, and provides direction into overall program planning.
Dr. Hartman completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency and fellowship in traumatic brain injury at the Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to joining WHH-JFRC in 2010, Dr. Hartman served as the program Medical Director for the traumatic brain injury unit at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. His areas of interest and expertise include comprehensive inpatient neurorehabilitation, adult brain injury rehabilitation, and spasticity management.
William L. Earp, M.D. , Consultant Physician of the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center
Dr. Earp graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. He completed his residency in Orthopaedics at the U.S. Air Force Hospital. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is Florida licensed. He has been with Winter Haven Hospital Rehabilitation Services since 1993.
Lorraine D. Proctor, M.A., CCC-SLP, Executive Director of Rehabilitation Services
Ms. Proctor graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is Florida licensed as a speech-language pathologist. She participates on the Florida Hospital Association-Florida Society for Rehabilitation. She has specialized in adult communication/swallowing disorders, resulting from stroke and brain injuries. She has been with Winter Haven Hospital Rehabilitation Services since 1995.
Linda Rumrell, MA, CVE, CCM, Manager Outpatient Rehab Center
Ms. Rumrell graduated from Judson College and Eastern Baptist Seminary, earning a M.A. in education with additional studies at Temple University. She is a Certified Vocational Specialist (CVE), with experience working with persons with return to work issues post brain injury. She is also a Certified Case Manager (CCM), assisting patients and their families with access to community resource education, return to leisure activities, and functional support. Ms. Rumrell has been with Winter Haven Hospital since 1994. Prior to working with Vocational Services at the ESTEEM Program she worked in the Rehabilitation Division at Goodwill Industries.
James L. McEwen, Ph.D., ABDA, Program Director, Joy-Fuller Rehabilitation Center
Dr. McEwen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Music-Music Therapy from William Carey College. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. For ten years, he was a surveyor for CARF (The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission), and has been a Senior Disability Analyst and Diplomate for the American Board of Disability Analysts (ABDA). He has been with our hospital since 2009.
Pamela Lane-Mendoza, M.A., CCC-SLP, Manager Inpatient Therapy, Joy-Fuller Rehabilitation Center
Ms. Lane-Mendoza graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Illinois University. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is Florida licensed as a speech-language pathologist. She participates on the Florida Hospital Association-Florida Society for Rehabilitation. She has specialized in adult communication/swallowing disorders, resulting from stroke and brain injuries. She has been with Winter Haven Hospital Rehabilitation Services since 1990.
Ellen Lockwood, BSN, RN, CRRN Manager Rehab Nursing, Joy-Fuller Rehabilitation Center
Ms. Lockwood graduated from Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and is currently in the nursing program at Nova Southeastern University to obtain her Master’s Degree. She is certified as a Rehab Nurse and an Orthopedic Nurse. Ms. Lockwood has worked at Winter Haven Hospital since 1990 and has been the manager of Nursing on the Joy-Fuller Rehabilitation Center since 2006 .
