view VISION: The Annual Report for the Winter Haven Hospital Foundation

The Winter Haven Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of trustees made up of regional civic and business leaders who serve without pay or compensation. The Foundation provides philanthropic support to Winter Haven Hospital, the Regency Center for Women & Infants, and the many other services our not-for-profit organization offers to the communities we serve. Foundation funds support state-of-the-art medical care, cutting-edge technology and equipment, top-quality education, and the best and brightest personnel. Contributions to the Foundation reach far beyond our walls. Gifts to the Foundation touch every facet of our community by facilitating outreach programs, support groups, charity care, and health fairs.

Over the years, community philanthropy has played a significant and critical role in Winter Haven Hospital’s growth and success. With generous investments from our community, our organization established the Bostick Heart Center, the Cassidy Cancer Center, the Mary Adams Strang Center for Psychiatry, and the Joy-Fuller Rehab Center (the first nationally accredited comprehensive physical rehab center in Polk County). Recently, a landmark gift has been received from State Farm to help launch Winter Haven Hospital’s new health center on Cypress Gardens Boulevard.

The Foundation raises funds through several mechanisms including Winter Haven Hospital’s Annual Fund, leadership campaigns, planned giving, and special events. Every contribution no matter how large or small helps make our vital services possible. Because of Winter Haven Hospital’s patient-centered mission, the Foundation offers donors tangible results for their tax deductible investment. As you browse our website, we hope to illustrate a sample of what the Foundation is doing every day to help improve the lives of our patients, staff, physicians, and the community we serve.
