Winter Haven Hospital Gala

The Gala is Polk County’s signature black-tie charitable fundraising event. The Gala is held annually to help support Winter Haven Hospital’s Bostick Heart Center, Cassidy Cancer Center, Regency Center for Women & Infants, Stroke Center, Family Health Centers, and the many other patient care services that Winter Haven Hospital provides.

The Winter Haven Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that more than $615,000 in charitable donations was raised as a result of the 23rd annual Winter Haven Hospital Foundation Gala. This year’s event, held November 15, 2012, at Nora Mayo Hall, has been hailed as one of the best yet. All proceeds from the evening will be utilized to support Winter Haven Hospital Emergency Room patients. On behalf of the Foundation and Winter Haven Hospital, we would like to express our sincere thanks to all of our 2012 Gala supporters!

Heart Smart Days

Polk County Cup

The Polk County Cup tennis tournament was started in 2012 by John and Tracy Scheck to raise awareness of the needs of newborns requiring special care due to illness or premature birth. Proceeds from this event benefit the Winter Haven Hospital Regency Center for Women & Infants Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Citrus Classic at LEGOLAND® Florida

The Winter Haven Hospital Foundation Citrus Classic has found a new home at LEGOLAND® Florida. Participants play their part in a 5K run through the various attractions of the theme park. Proceeds from the Citrus Classic benefit the Foundation Fund for Women and Children.

Lewis Family “Swing for the Cure”

The Lewis Family Cancer Fund was founded in 2010 by brothers Geoff and Josh Lewis. The fund was established to help promote public awareness and assist in funding research development in the prevention and cure of cancer. Proceeds raised from this two-day event benefit Winter Haven Hospital cancer center patients.
