February 19 Infant Mental Health Does the term "infant mental health" make you think of a baby on a couch talking to Dr. Freud about all his or her problems? So, what is infant mental health? In it's simplest terms it's about relationship promoting and supporting nurturing relationships for all infants. It's about ensuring the first relationship is a solid base for the next one and all the ones in the future. It's about learning to trust that our physical and emotional needs will be met. And it's about being able to use those trusting relationships to become healthy, productive adults.

March 5 Incontinence Management Vincent Gatto, M.D. will speak on the causes of incontinence and surgical interventions to correct difficult cases. Mandy Cilliers will speak on pelvic strengthening programs and diet changes which can sometimes elimate the need for surgery.

March 6 Common Foot Problems Dr. Wellens will discuss common foot problems in a variety of age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Symptoms associated with (bunion deformity) hammertoes, heel spurs, plantar fasiitis, Morton's neuromas, arthrictic disorders, ankle pain, and lateral ankle instability will be covered. The lecture includes multiple clinical slides of these conditions and a discussion on conservative versus surgical treatments. Prevention, functional orthotic bracing as well as new surgical techniques in foot and ankle surgery will be discussed.
