  • 40% of these (~600) were heart attack victims!
  • 1600+ heart catheterizations performed
  • 359 patients transferred out for angioplasty (PTCA)
  • 257 patients transferred out for bypass surgery
  • 44 patients transferred out for treatment of valve disease
*Note: 1998 data. These numbers reflect only patients admitted to and transferred from Winter Haven Hospital. They do not include the patients that were transferred directly from the physician's office to a facility for one of the same advanced cardiovascular services.
