The 100 Challenge ‘Served Up’ a Success
Twenty tennis teams and six golf teams challenged themselves to play 100 games of tennis and 100 holes of golf. The result: more than $108,000 to go toward the Winter Haven Hospital Stroke Center. Rain extended the tennis challenge to four days, but the weather was beautiful for golf. The event’s first silent auction, held during the ultra suave “Swinging back to the 70’s” cocktail party at the Lake Region Yacht and Country Club, was successful too. The most popular item, a day with Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, raised more than $16,000. The Winter Haven Hospital is thankful for the ever increasing support from community members, golfers, tennis players, and those who reminisce the 70’s alike.

April 22nd, 2010: Lake Region Yacht and Country Club
