What is a Teenage Volunteer?
The Teenage Volunteer
is a special kind of
teen who serves in
the Hospital without
pay, giving people
a helping hand.
Why is a Teenage Volunteer Important?
Teenage Volunteers
are important because
they provide the extra
personal attention,
care, warmth, and service
with a smile, that
adds so much to the
comfort and well-being
of patients-leaving
the regular staff to
concentrate on making
patients well as quickly
as possible.

Teenage Volunteers assist in various departments wherever help is needed.
How Does a Teen Benefit by Service?
Teens gain experience by working in many area of the Hospital.
Are Teenage Volunteers Trained?
A Teenage Volunteer
gets careful preparation
for the job including
orientation and on-the-job
training. Teens are
assigned tasks for
which they are specifically
trained and perform
their assignment under
the direction and supervision
of Hospital and Volunteer
personnel.
